Shattered wasn't the session I planned.

I had an entirely different concept in the works when, just a few days before our shoot, an opportunity came up to photograph somewhere extraordinary in Los Angeles. I changed everything.

Sometimes you have to let go of the plan and lean into the unknown.

Rachel is a professional dancer, and with this new location, I knew I wanted to bring that part of her into the story. The pointe shoes, the movement, the gown and this incredible space all started to come together in my head.

The moment we stepped onto the property, there was almost too much to take in. Shattered tile, mirrors, mosaics, handmade pieces and unexpected details cover nearly every inch, inside and out. Around every corner was something new to discover.

There was so much creativity and artistic energy in this space that it was impossible not to be inspired by it. Rachel was simply stunning in the middle of it all, bringing movement and life to every corner we explored.

There was always something new to discover, and Rachel brought my vision for Shattered to life beautifully.

What began as a last minute change became one of those shoots that reminded me why I love creating in the first place.
